[Retrospective] Emergency Provider Maintenance in Tokyo, Japan

Incident Report for Oracle + Dyn

Resolved

On December 15th, 2018 between 18:05 UTC and 19:00 UTC, one of Dyn's upstream transit providers performed emergency maintenance on their infrastructure in Tokyo, Japan. There was no impact to Dyn Managed DNS Nameservers or Peripheral Infrastructure, although some users may have experienced additional DNS query latency as traffic was routed to other paths.
