We are aware that some customers are experiencing errors while using the DynECT Email and DNS portals. Should you encounter an error, please reload the page and try again. UPDATE: As of around 08:00 UTC, Thursday, 28th August,  we have had some indications of poor performance from the DynECT Portal. Our engineers are currently investigating the root cause.

On 7th August between 18:00 UTC and 20:00 UTC, one of our upstream transit providers will be performing maintenance on their infrastructure in Singapore. No impact to DynECT Managed DNS Nameserver or Peripheral Infrastructure is expected, although some users may experience additional DNS query latency as traffic is routed to other paths. We do not recommend that customers make any configuration changes in preparation for this maintenance.

Emergency Provider Maintenance in North Bergen, NJ

On Tuesday 16th September, starting at 13:38 UTC, one of Dyn’s upstream transit providers will be performing emergency maintenance on their infrastructure in North Bergen, NJ.

No impact to DynECT Managed DNS Nameserver or Peripheral Infrastructure is expected, although some users may experience additional DNS query latency as traffic is routed to other paths. We do not recommend that customers make any configuration changes in preparation for this maintenance.

Spurious monitoring alerts for Managed DNS

Beginning around 04:30 UTC this morning, Tuesday, 9th September, some customers began to receive spurious monitoring notifications for Managed DNS products indicating that endpoints had been detected as down. Following analysis we have determined that these alerts occurred due to a series of network maintenances across the USA, in a major transit provider’s network. Unusually, we do not seem to have been notified in advance of these works, which would have allowed us to prevent these spurious notifications from occurring. We will work to ensure that this does not occur again and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

At this time QPS Reporting has returned to normal levels and is continuing to improve. We are actively monitoring and tracking the issue, and expect the issue to fully resolve soon.
