Identified - On February 16th, 2016, Dyn was made aware of CVE-2015-7547, a glibc getaddrinfo stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability affecting certain systems. Our security team is currently reviewing systems that may be impacted by this exploit and are systematically addressing these systems as required. Update - Our engineers have completed patching the Dyn Managed DNS API against Logjam. Customers wishing to use the API will have to adhere to "Intermediate" cipher standards noted on THIS webpage. API users not utilizing an intermediate cipher (or better) will not be able to connect.

Identified - On May 20th, 2015, Dyn was made aware of CVE-2015-4000, a "man in the middle" type of TLS vulnerability currently affecting a large number of internet devices. Update - Our engineers have implemented further network and code improvements, reducing the number of HTTP 500, 502, and 504 responses from both Send API and reporting requests. Additional measures are being worked on and customers should continue to see a decrease in responses as a result. If you are continuing to see HTTP error responses, or timeouts in general, please reach out to our Technical Support Team.

Update - Our engineers have adjusted system settings and code to improve request handling efficiency. This is intended to to prevent the large majority of HTTP 5xx error responses to REST API calls. Customers should see a decrease in error responses as a result. We are continuing to work on interim HTTP 500 responses for certain types of Send API requests and for report requests with invalid arguments. We expect those to be resolved in the next few days. If you are continuing to see HTTP error responses, or timeouts in general, please reach out to our Technical Support Team.

Scheduled - On 2016-07-09 from 0000 UTC to 0200 UTC, we will be performing maintenance on our "Hostname" reporting infrastructure. Customers using reports through the Zone Node tree in the UI or the API to retrieve QPS with the "Hostname" breakdown may briefly receive responses with no data. The result of this maintenance will be that available reporting ranges are extended to 30 days from the current 3 weeks retention limit. For new zones, the data will begin populating on July 9th.

Customers do not need to make any configuration changes for this maintenance.
